Selected for Angels & Dragons Pitching – UK-Indonesia Tech Hub
Ternakin was honored to participate in Angels & Dragons, a Dragon’s Den-style pitching session organized by the British Embassy Jakarta through the UK-Indonesia Tech Hub. This event brought together impact-driven entrepreneurs with investors and key strategic stakeholders.
In front of a distinguished panel of judges such as Arifin Putra (Angel Investor & Partner, Hi Incubator), Cinta Laura (Entertainer & Sociopreneur), Ilham Habibie (Co-founder, Hi Incubator), Nicko Widjaja (Founding CEO, BRI Ventures), and Samuel Hayes (Head of Economic & Social Affairs, UK Embassy), we presented our co-ownership farms investment model, designed to combine healthy financial returns with long-term sustainability impact.

As a result, Ternakin was awarded 4 Golden Eggs out of 5, a distinction no other participant achieved in this event. We see this not merely as a win, but as a meaningful recognition of our vision and business direction. We are grateful for the judges’ interest and excited to partner with like-minded individuals who aim to build sustainable businesses while giving back to the aquaculture community.
Ternakin offers more than just potential financial returns. Our value proposition includes:
- Environmental impact through low-carbon aquaculture practices
- Food security by increasing sustainable production capacity
- Empowerment of smallholder farmers through technology, market access, and financing
- Gender inclusion by creating decent work opportunities for women in aquaculture
We manage farm operations, market the harvest, turn waste into high-value products, and ensure transparency through data-driven processes. This allows investors to sit back with confidence, knowing their capital not only generates returns but also delivers measurable, positive contributions to communities and the environment.
A Fresh Format, a Memorable Experience
As we shared after the event:
“Angels & Dragons was one of the most creative pitching events I’ve attended — like a fun, themed version of Shark Tank! The whole experience was refreshing and unique, unlike typical pitch sessions. The Angels and Dragons jury were not only competent but also gave insightful feedback. Plus, hosting it at Wisma Habibie made the whole event even more special.”
Our participation in Angels & Dragons further strengthens Ternakin’s commitment to building integrated sustainable aquaculture which are resilient, inclusive, and aligned with global sustainability goals.
