Joining the Narwhale Ventures & IBEC Accelerator Program
Ternakin is proud to join the accelerator program organized by Narwhale Ventures in partnership with the Indonesia Blue Economy Center (IBEC). This initiative brings together selected startups across Southeast Asia to develop sustainable aquaculture solutions that strengthen climate resilience, promote social inclusion, and drive blue economy growth.

As an integrated sustainable aquaculture player, Ternakin’s approach goes beyond technology, ensuring end-to-end sustainability through three key pillars:
- Transparency & Efficiency: Implementing data-driven farm recording and management systems to improve efficiency, traceability, and financing access for smallholder farmers.
- Gender Inclusion: Empowering women in aquaculture, especially in value-added processing such as fish filleting, where the majority of workers— including those in our contract partners—are women.
- Circular Economy: Turning fish waste into high-value products such as fishmeal and processed food, reducing dependence on imported feed and minimizing waste.
Through this program, Ternakin expands its network of like-minded innovators, gains access to strategic mentorship, and engages with impact investors and policy makers. This strengthens our mission to build resilient, inclusive, and low-carbon aquaculture systems, combining appropriate technology, sustainable practices, and coastal community empowerment.
